intuitive and expressive marks inspired from memory and experiences outdoors in the the natural world, particularly i love the sea, I find it calming and soothing. Perspective grows and stretches like the sea itself, with it all my troubles may be blown away.
breath taking scenery of such landmarks and places like the Giant Causeway and black mountains in Northern Ireland, Cross Haven and Mirtle Ville in Cork, the English seaside , Norfolk sunsets along the coast and Whitstable harbour and recently the Scottish Highlands…
“all creatures great and small” always been a lover of the natural world, least we forget we are animals too…often we forget to value are animal nature and nurture it…
body of work after the birth of my second born son Johnny, in the midst of post natal moods and a need to retreat for some inner space, after many sad losses and a miracle…
In Johnny’s forst 6 months i woke an hour early and painted on my living room floor in Hornsey Street…before Johnny woke and sometimes while he slept I just painted without consciousness…
colour, intuitive experimentation it was very emotional process, after each piece I experienced euphoria and a kind of liberation…
My first exhibition since School at my local Vagabond cafe…i sold a couple of paintings…more thank I anticipated.
layers of torn paper images of the late David Bowie, Acrylic and mediums on linen canvas, used glue, palette knives and brushes
Abstract works in mostly oil, Intuitive marks impulsive planted on the surface, sometimes with a palette knife sometimes with a brush or my fingers or a mix of methods….
Imaginative and remembered seascapes fusing both real and imagined places, internal states and external elements…
Love the colours and feelings evoked when i finished each piece, sometimes marks have been removed or ruined and overworked again…losing one thing and gaining another…just as the tides and waves cannot be kept and each one brings its own beauty to be lost in a moment…
Often sketchy my children although its been very busy recently so less so, I used to attend life drawing drop in’s but mostly now I sketch in cafes or when the children are sleeping...

Currently I am experimenting with various styles and expressions of flowers, trees, fields meadows and grasslands...using pastel, water colours or oils…expressive and intuitive marks with explosions of colour, using my imagination and getting lost in the joy that flowers bring, particularly wild flowers on windy days…
